I w
rote Found in Space // Lost in Time as a tight sci-fi story unfolding on a terraformed Mars in the year 2700, where my protagonist Sotsi grows up caught between clinging to ancient traditions and humanity’s unstoppable drive to conquer the stars. Curiosity and faith pull him forward into a mission that dives deep into black holes and cosmic secrets, smashing science against spirituality in ways that force brutal ethical choices and shatter old certainties. It’s really about ambition clashing with purpose—how discovery can feel thrilling yet leave you profoundly lost, searching for meaning when everything you thought you knew gets rewritten by the void. The narrative stays raw and personal, zeroing in on one man’s inner storm amid the vastness, ending with revelations that hit hard on rediscovering faith and balance. I’m proud it packs all that into a compact read without losing the emotional weight or the haunting questions about progress and soul.

The music came as a natural extension, two albums under my artist name Sotsi that breathe life into the book’s universe through sound. “Legacy of Mars” channels the early colony days with progressive rock and metal fused with oriental influences, heavy riffs carrying the forging of new paths, the rise of Balanciers religion, and that ancient child wonder mixed with grit.
Then “The One // The Way” shifts inward and outward, layering philosophical depth across tracks like “Eternity Whispered Back,” “The Middle Path,” and “Younger Sky,” exploring inevitable tides, absent souls, renewal rites, and the quiet search for harmony in the chaos of departure and cosmos. It’s all intertwined: the lyrics echo the story’s spiritual core, the oriental vibes nod to traditions, and the prog metal energy mirrors the tension of ambition versus meaning. Creating it felt inevitable, I just kept showing up until the sounds became the other half of the tale, raw, haunting, and hopefully a little hopeful in chasing balance.
